In the early 1990's our Managing Director and owner was first introduced to Industrial Doors as a subcontractor for Jewers and Henderson Bostwick Doors working with his father, where he gained extensive knowledge in installations, working on construction sites nationwide and sometimes Internationally as far afield as the Falkland Islands in South America.
Then came the next chapter in the owners evolution where he (Rolf Baumeister) moved to a local industrial door company in Stevenage learning how to survey and quote all types of industrial doors, automatic barriers and gates.
The final cog in the companies inception was Rolf's move to Reel UK working for their main customer British Airways managing all doors at Heathrow, Gatwick and Cardiff, whilst also servicing many other blue chip companies.
Rolf then used his extensive network of contacts and entrepreneurial ability to create Baumac Engineering and started his business in 2004 supporting 2 key customers Thomas More Square Development and Mastercare (formally Dixons).
Baumac started in Rolf's personal garage supporting the South East of the UK growing the business and offering 24/7 reactive support to his customers and employing key staff to facilitate its growth.
In 2012 we then became a Ltd company where we started to attain all the key accreditations, some of which include SAFE CONTRACTORS, GATE SAFE, CITY & GUILDS, ADSA, DHF, NHS SHAREDBUSINESS SERVICES
In 2014 Baumac moved into rented facilities in Stevenage in a 1400sq ft facility, this soon doubled in 2019 to an adjoining building as fabrication became a key part of the solutions we offered our customers.
Over 35 years on we have now established ourselves as a major player in the installation, servicing and repair of Auto Door/ Roller Shutter/Vehicle Barriers/Gate Automation/Security Road Blockers/Raising Bollards and Pedestrian Turnstiles supporting many Blue chip companies, Premier League Football Teams, Iconic London buildings and a whole host of Facility Management Companies across all parts of the UK. offering 24/7, 365 day a year emergency callout service.
Our next exciting progression is our impending move to a special purpose facility that will allow for future growth in a facility with over 6300sq ft of space in the spring of 2025.
